Christmas Heart-Shaped Ornaments Supplies
Share
Hi there, I’m glad you’re here!
All Christmas Heart-Shaped Ornaments are sized to fit nicely in a 6” (15 cm) embroidery hoop.
I’ve used a cross-stitch needle size 26 for 3 strands and less. If you prefer sharper needles, try a size 9 or 7 embroidery needle.
Here’s everything you’ll need, with links to the supplies I use:
Fabric
You’ll need approximately 8.5 x 10 inch (21 x 25 cm) of medium-weight fabric (around 230 gsm).
Choose one of the following:
- Cotton Muslin (AKA Calico Cotton)
- Kona Cotton or
- Cotton-linen blend
Pattern transfer
- A transfer pen: black Pilot FriXion heat-erasable pen.
- Lightbox (A4 light box for tracing), or a sunny window for pattern transfer
- Paper tape

- Embroidery hoop 6-inches (15 cm) (18 cm) - beech wood, or Nurge

A little tip before you shop
I always recommend checking your local craft stores first. It’s a lovely way to support small businesses, and there’s something special about choosing your fabric and threads in person.
I’ve included online links above as a convenient option if you can’t find what you need locally.
A little note: Some of the links in my supplies lists are affiliate links. If you purchase something through one of these links, I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Thank you for supporting my work! ❤️
